A clearer identity for a connected business
A brand ready for change
UHY Hacker Young is a Top 20 UK network of chartered accountants and business advisers, providing a broad range of integrated services to clients across the UK and internationally.
With a reputation built on expertise and trusted relationships, the firm needed a brand that better reflected its contemporary approach to business advice.
Over time, the visual identity had become increasingly fragmented. Colours, graphics and other brand elements had evolved independently, creating inconsistency across communications and making the identity difficult to manage. UHY Hacker Young approached Chalk to bring clarity, cohesion and a renewed sense of purpose to its brand.
Finding a new direction
Our challenge was to modernise the identity without losing the recognition and credibility the firm had established.
We began by reviewing the existing brand, identifying opportunities to simplify its core elements and create a more consistent, flexible visual language.
At the heart of our creative approach was the idea of movement and direction, reflecting a business focused on helping clients progress and achieve their ambitions.
We introduced the adaptable messaging platform ‘Your…’, allowing the firm to speak directly to its audiences through statements such as ‘Your goals’ and ‘Your business’. Simple, confident and personal, it placed clients at the centre of the conversation.
Bringing the brand together
Building on this concept, Chalk developed a refreshed visual identity with a simplified colour palette, distinctive graphic language and consistent approach to imagery.
The new system brought greater clarity to communications while providing the flexibility needed to work across different services, audiences and applications.
We developed comprehensive brand guidelines and demonstrated how the identity could be applied across digital and print, giving teams a practical framework for maintaining consistency.
One brand, a stronger presence
The refreshed identity was embraced across UHY Hacker Young’s communications, extending beyond digital and print into its office environments.
The result was a more contemporary, cohesive and manageable brand that better reflected the firm’s approach to business advice.
By bringing its many visual elements together under one clear creative direction, Chalk helped UHY Hacker Young communicate with greater consistency, confidence and purpose.
