Once defined by its industrial past, King’s Cross was emerging as one of London’s most exciting places to live. At the heart of this transformation, Argent LLP was creating a new generation of residential developments that brought contemporary design to a neighbourhood rich in history. Tapestry, Canal Reach, was part of this vision, offering a new perspective on urban living in an area being reimagined for the future.

With apartments being marketed off-plan, prospective buyers needed more than floorplans and specifications. They needed a clear sense of the development’s quality, the character of the neighbourhood and the opportunity to be part of King’s Cross’s transformation.

The challenge was to bring this vision to life, translating the development’s distinctive character and wider appeal into a compelling proposition for prospective buyers.

Bringing a future home to life.

Selling a property before it is built requires prospective buyers to imagine the life they could lead there. Working closely with Argent, a suite of print and digital communications was developed to bring Tapestry to life, build interest and help buyers connect with the development before completion.

Research into King’s Cross’s industrial heritage and the aspirations of the target audience informed a creative direction that brought the area’s past and future into conversation. Industrial textures, architectural influences and a refined contemporary aesthetic captured the contrast between the neighbourhood’s historic character and its emerging lifestyle, giving Tapestry a distinctive identity rooted in its surroundings.

Textured papers and copper foiling introduced warmth and a sense of quality, while contrasting typography balanced heritage with modernity. Together, these details created a distinctive identity that reflected both the character of the location and the ambition of the development.

A consistent experience from first contact to moving in

The Tapestry experience extended beyond the sales journey. Argent wanted the same quality and attention to detail established through the marketing to carry through to residents’ first days in their new homes.

Building on the original creative direction, a dedicated suite of welcome materials brought the brand into the resident experience. Practical information about the development and surrounding area was paired with considered typography, materials and finishes, creating a thoughtful introduction to life at Tapestry and a consistent experience from first enquiry to move-in.

A lasting impact.

Tapestry went on to achieve full occupancy, and the success of our creative work led to further commissions across the wider King’s Cross regeneration. The project demonstrated how considered design and a consistent approach to communication can help bring a development to life, build buyer confidence and create a lasting impression well beyond the point of sale.
